I am wondering what the name of the technique is in which movies are not presented in a nonlinear way. For example, the movie Memento, is presented in a nonlinear way - from back to front. What is the name of this technique?This technique is known as 'Reverse Chronology'. Stories or films with this technique start at the end and then proceed to the beginning scene to make the ending clear. Slaughterhouse Five was written with this technique.
Other similar techniques are things like 'media-res', which the odyssey was written in.
