Ive just been to the dentist and hes convinced me that they dont work but i really really still want to get white teeth, if you have tried whitening strips can you tell me whether they work well or not?
If i buy them i will be buying..... 42 supreme crest whitneing strips 21 top 21 lower
Is this what i want?
can they over whiten your teeth and make them look crap?
Thanks guys all comments are apreciated i'd really like to know a little more about this subject.All Right, this is kind of a tough subject. I used crest white strips one time. And I gagged like CRAZY! They taste horrible sweetie! My parents use them and they like them alright, but they left white spots. EEK! Anyways, I just use baking soda, and crest whitening rinse. (not mixed!) Just brush your teeth with baking soda then toothpaste then rinse with the mouthwash. I use Crest Vivid White Toothpaste. It works wonders. So I have very white teeth! And crest white strips are VERY expensive, you'll save money by going with my routine!I've tried whitening strips and they did seem to help some after a couple weeks of use but I had to stop using them because they made my teeth sensitive. I use them and i think they work pretty well. Probably not as good as the sessions that you can get at the dentist. do you think maybe your dentist was trying to get you to shell out the money for one of his sessions? the only thing about the whitestrips is after 3-4 days of using them straight, my teeth can be a little sensitive. and when you have them in, you really can't do much of anything- for me, even talking starts putting them out of place. but i like them, and would recommend them.I use them too - same ones, and they work great for me and my teeth are always really white, people ask me all the time if I got them whitened. I'd highly recommend them - they work great and make your teeth look fantastic!
Dentists don't want you to use them because they'd rather you spend the money getting them whitened from them! yes they do i used them and i got a lot of compliments that my teeth look whiter. I've used them and I love them! I read somewhere that its a small dose of the exact same thing dentists use! I get compliments months after I stop using them! But they do make your teeth sensitive! Oh and if you have caps or bridges or anything, it won't whiten them. You would have to get it redone to match!they work wellthey left spots on my teethi've tried them twice. the first time i got the cheaper version, the second time i got the more expensive version. i think they were along the lines of... 40 dollars or so. i honestly don't think they really work. i used them religiously and followed the instructions carefully. i didn't really notice any difference. google it! there are several websites that show before and after pics... and how there is no change at all. i think its kind of one of those things... if you believe your teeth are whiter you might start to think they are! but many dentists disagree...Actually, my orthodontist recommended them vs. professional whitening at a doctor's office.
I've used about half of my pack and I've started to notice a difference, it's actually really exciting. I can tell personally because I have two teeth with dental work on them that won't be whitened by that kind of stuff (they only whiten natural teeth). I have the supreme ones, by the way.
About overwhitening, that's up to you to watch. The rule of thumb is that your teeth should be no whiter than the whites of your eyes. So keep watch on that.
I've never noticed any sensitivity in my teeth (and mine are really sensitive!) The only thing I've noticed (which is actually a plus) is that they bleach your gums for a few minutes. This is a good thing because it actually shows you that they do bleach. Don't worry, the bleaching of the gums does not last very long, 20 mins tops.
