  • Is it possible to purchase the branding free option after installation?

    If i buy the leased licence, can i after 12 months buy the complete licence?

    where can i find information on how to build a website around a forum? or do i mark an area out in my original webpage and paste some code in or something? (very confused about this, need answer in laymans terms)

    even though vbulletin will be installed under one domain, is it possible to have two seperate boards, i.e. one for the UK and one for the USA


  • We provide a backup feature for small boards via the admincp but its not our recomended method of backup.

  • You can simply edit the templates, which are more or less basic HTML code.


  • No downloading or uploading of templats, its all done though vB's admincp.

    You'd alter the template, and it will work just fine.

    As far as adding a new forum, you'd add one via the forum manager :)

    Similar to this one - http://www.gsmhacks.com/forums/ - everything above the forum i want to be able to change, everything below (the forum) will stay the same. I just wanted to understand how i would do this, as i only know how to build static pages.

    Yes. the branding free license can be purchased at a later point in time.

    If you buy a leased license, you can upgrade to an owned license within 60 days for $85.00, or after that for the full price.

    That depends on the type of website you're trying to build around vBulletin. Possibly you're looking for something like a CMS/Portal.
    You can find various third-party products that offer this functionality on www.vbulletin.org

    Two seperate forums would require two licenses.


  • ok, one last question. if i started with say 5 navigation buttons that wre links to static pages in my website, and wanted to add more buttons, do i simply alter the forum template and upload - or will that cock up the forum?

    same if i wanted to add new room subjects (a Joke section) to my forum, do i just alter the template and re upload?
