Hi!
I play for a local soccer club and have a jersey with my number written in the back with permanent marker.
Is it safe to wash it with a regular load of laundry??
thanks!!i think its ok. the sharpie will fade a bit over time though. i have never had problems wit it running into other clothesI'd wash it alone the first time, but I think it won't get any marker on anything else. Sharpies are sooo permanent.I have washed clothes that have been written on with sharpies and have never had it ruin the other clothes. Like the other answer said however, it will fade over time.I wouldn't wash it with regular loads. I had a shirt from my graduation in elementary school that had all my friends names written on it in a black sharpie marker. I washed it and noticed a slight tint in one of my other fabrics and it washed away all the names.Unless you have memorized your number and it is a color load, I really wouldn't wash it with regular loads a couple of times. It might have a small chance of the number fading easier, too, although it will probably fade away slowly. Otherwise, knowing how permanent Sharpie markers are, I recommend washing it alone a few times before blending it with other fabrics.#If you have any other info about this subject , Please add it free.# |
