How's My Bee Picture?

  • I took this in my garden the other day. He sat still for a long time. I like how he moved his little legs so I could really get a shot of his face.

  • I was afraid to crop too much. I'll have to get in & edit again.

What lens did you use? Could you get closer? His positioning is good, but he's sort of lost in the shrubbery.

  • More cropping-it gets too grainy if I crop more. I used a Nikon D40 to take the photo, f/10 aperture, 55mm, ISO 800. I *heart* Flickr!

  • yes... crop....crop hard....

  • If i'm not mistaken, i believe thats a wasp. And i agree, learn to use the crop tool like it's your job, just not too much

  • well, its a wasp :)
And for the grain you can get a demo version of NeatImage or other noise reduction program. I use NeatImage and it works like a charm :)

  • Crop him closer?

  • Hellou,

I agree also on the cropping. Maybe some color adjustment, make the bee's color stand out.

    Looks good overall
