  • I am going next week and want to know what the weather is like and if there is enough Also any bars etc open to enjoy it. nnAnyone know anything about los peces apartments. Just read lots of bad reviews and feel sick.........

  • I went Salou last year, was really good. There is loads of pubs and bars along the sea front. Loads of British tourists.

Also it is definitely to Barcelona, deffinetly worth getting the train to the city.

  • 24 degrees and sunny.

  • I arrived back from Salou last night after an 8 hour flight delay. I have been several times before but would never go back, I was in Los pecas apt several years ago and they were ok and still look fine, turn left when you come out and its 1 minute to beach, we were in the Los Angeles hotel, the entertainment is rubbish and food terrible, we had to eat out most days and it is very expensive, beer cost 4-5euro a pint, a burger costs 4euro, steak pie chips peas type of meal cost around £16eu, these are all basic snack bar prices but can be dearer, most of the summer entertainment is finished for the season but, several pubs with music in them are open, I would recommend, Rovers Return, Chrities Irish Bar or Idols all in same street, for eating Jacks Bar, Chippie, or Scotch Corner have good food. Do not go out alone late at night as several people were attacked when we were there, avoid the african men selling sun glasses, watches and drugs. I spent a week in salou and have not met a spanish person, all shop owners are from Pakistan/India or Africa.

  • went to salou couple of years ago!

    hated it!

full of english and full of kids!

ALL the english pubs had bingo!

    pain for the irish!

    wouldnt go back!

but if you like that kind of holiday!

  • I was in Salou yesterday and it was really lovely weather. The beaches still have a few people, but the huge summer crowds are gone, so it's better for beach walking than for sun bathing. They say that it's supposed to get colder this weekend, though so bring warm clothes with you. No rain forecast. Puerto Aventura is doing a lot of business and there are some lovely little towns nearby that are reached easily on the train. Try taking an short excursion to Cambrils or Torredembarra (great seafood restaurants in both towns! and not too expensive, if you get off the beachfront tourist areas). Have a great time!
