  • Crushed limestone is very good substitute for road aggregate base course when mixed with good quality soil and it is suitable to be used for macadam roads.

    The advantage of utilizing limestone as alternative for aggregate base course is the availability of materials locally and lesser cost of processing. Limestone can sometimes available locally within the project site. Limestone can be easily crushed using the excavator or rock breaker and mixed with selected soil. Unlike using crushed coarse & fine aggregates for base course that you need to have a crashing plant to produce these materials. Using limestone as aggregate base course alternative will provide good savings for the contractor and can propel progress of work.
