Hello, I am opening a word document from 2 machines. Eventhough no visible differences in formatting at first glance, when inspected more deeply, I find differences in the look of the word document. For example, say the 10th line in the word document shows as 'At 1.3" ' in machine1. The same line in machine2 shows as 'At 1.4". (lines 1 through 9 shows same "At position"). I have thought that upper atmosphere is key to weather forecasting. I have also understood that we get our upper air data from radiosonde ballons, weather ballons. How critical is this data to the model runs ? Seems like the radiosonde data is rather sparse compared to the surface data.
